Helped mostly low-income English and Spanish-speaking workers (within the horse racing industry at Churchill Downs) to access medical care, schedule doctors appointments, understand how to get their prescriptions and help them get their medical bills paid for by this charity foundation.

Learned the basics of medical insurance and the US healthcare system; called hospitals and other providers on behalf of the charity to negotiate and pay healthcare bills.Â
