LDT Competency-Based Portfolio

As part of the rigorous coursework for the MSEd in Learning Design and Technology program at Purdue University, one is required to create a portfolio where at least 20 challenges are completed. A challenge can be completed when  an artifact is submitted (either from coursework or from one's professional context) with a reflection explaining why it was a meaningful learning experience and details how the artifact correctly meets the requirement. In this system, when you meet a certain number of challenges, you earn a "sub-badge" and once you've earned the correct sub-badges, you earn a "supra-badge". It's required to earn all of the "supra-badges" to complete the Master's degree. Each section below represents one of the four "supra-badges". Click on any of them to learn more.
